THE RODS have released their new fan collaboration lyric video for the song “Metal Highways” from their latest album “Rattle The Cage”.

Drummer / Producer Carl Canedy comments:

“Once we began working on the concept for our next 2 videos, the video editor suggested, that for the first video, we reach out to the the fans and have them submit photos of themselves with the band, The Rods memorabilia, tattoos and footage of the band performing, etc”.

“The response was so overwhelming that we decided to use that concept for two separate videos. Our video editor is very creative and it really shows in the completed videos. To me, it’s reminiscent of watching the moving paintings in the Harry Potter movie. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but the many fans who participated are going to love it!”

“Rattle The Cage” produced by The Rods, and mixed / mastered by Chris Collier (Mick Mars, Whitesnake, Last in Line) was released by Massacre Records (Germany) on January 19, 2024.

“Rattle The Cage” features veteran members David “Rock” Feinstein (guitar/vocals), Carl Canedy (drums), and is the studio debut of Freddy Villano (bass/backing vocals).

In addition, Carl Canedy is scheduled to release his autobiography, “Tales of a Wild Dog“, on April 4, 2024.

Carl has also made a name for himself as the producer on some of thrash metal’s earliest albums: Anthrax’s “Fistful of Metal”, “Armed and Dangerous” and “Spreading the Disease”, Overkill’s “Feel the Fire”, Exciter’s “Violence and Force”, Helstar’s “Burning Star” and many other iconic albums.

The 300-page book, courtesy of New Haven Publishing, will also feature commentary from many artists, such as Joey Belladonna of Anthrax, Dan Beehler of Exciter, Jeff Plate of Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Dan Lilker of Nuclear Assault, Jeff Becerra of Possessed, James Rivera of Helstar, and many others.
